Coronavirus Update 3/29/2020

March 29, 2020

Church,

Today, President Trump announced that the COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus recommendations will be extended through April 30. The church council and I are keeping an eye on developments, and will provide updates here as things change. In any case, we will be following the federal, state, and county guidelines for the quarantine, and we will announce a new re-opening date when it looks like we’re getting closer to the end of the quarantine period.

As such, The Church at River Oaks will continue suspending all activities for all ministries and all meetings until a later date to be determined. This includes Wednesday night activities such as R.O.C.K Star Children’s Ministry activities, Warehouse Student Ministries activities, Adult Bible studies; and Sunday morning activities, such as Connect Classes, Student Ministry classes, Children’s Theater and Family Worship.

Sunday morning services will be live streamed at 10:00am each Sunday. We have so far successfully streamed two services, so we are getting the hang of things! Please join us for worship at tcro.org, on Facebook, or at our YouTube channel this Sunday morning!

If you have a need or a prayer request, we will be monitoring phones, email and the website. The prayer list is always updated at tcro.org/prayer.

The church council members are also ready to assist our members with any need that arises during this time.

Don’t forget that especially during times like this, the ministry work we do continues to carry on, so your support and tithes continue to be needed. Giving online with a bank account or credit card is easy when you use Tithe.ly. Or, if you prefer, mail a check to the church address.

Please continue to follow the sanitary guidelines posted by the CDC – avoid close contact, wash your hands often, use hand sanitizer, and avoid touching your face with unwashed hands, and if you have symptoms, contact your doctor.

I pray for your health and safety during this trying time, and that you keep your focus on the Christ, who has already overcome this world! (John 16:33)
